Privacy Policy

Effective date:

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Private Grid Partners (“Private Grid Partners”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information through privategridpartners.com (the “Site”). The Site is intended for businesses in the United States and Canada, and for individuals contacting us on behalf of a business.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to submit through our contact form: your name, company name and work email address (required) and, optionally, your phone number, site location, megawatt (MW) requirement, target energization date and any message you include. Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account or government ID information) through the form.

3. Information we do not collect

The Site does not currently use cookies, analytics tools, advertising or tracking pixels, or similar technologies to track your activity. Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type and server request logs) as needed to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.

4. How we use your information

We use the information you submit to:

  1. respond to your enquiry;
  2. assess and discuss potential power generation projects or services with you and your company;
  3. keep records of our business communications;
  4. protect the security of the Site and prevent spam, fraud or abuse; and
  5. comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use contact-form submissions to send newsletters or marketing emails. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioural advertising.

By submitting the contact form, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see Section 14), subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to respond to or continue with your enquiry.

6. Service providers and disclosure

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Site and our business, and only as needed for them to provide their services to us: Vercel (website hosting); Resend (delivery of contact-form submissions by email); and Google Workspace (company email, where enquiries are received and stored). These providers are required to protect the information and use it only on our behalf.

We may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others, or in connection with a proposed or actual financing, merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

7. Where your information is processed

Our service providers may store and process personal information in the United States and other countries outside your province, state or country of residence. When your information is located in another jurisdiction, it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there.

8. Retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and to manage any resulting business relationship, and afterwards for up to 24 months from our last contact, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use, disclosure or modification, including restricting access to the enquiry inbox to personnel who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; request a copy of your information in a portable format; withdraw consent; and learn how your information has been used or disclosed.

Residents of Canada have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, including Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights under applicable state privacy laws.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, a provincial privacy commissioner, or the relevant authority in your U.S. state.

12. Children

The Site is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If we begin using cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, or begin sending marketing emails, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and obtain any consent required by law.
